Anyone with oily and acne prone skin feels they need to avoid oils for the face. However, regular use of light, easily absorbed and non-comedogenic oils (do not clog pores) can provide much needed moisture, nourishment and, crucially, balance oil production, promoting a smoother and more even skin texture. If skin is stripped of natural oils it can go into over-production mode and cause build up of even more sebum.
Olive Squalane is a very light, easily absorbed oil and is a component of sebum which is the natural oil produced by our skin. It helps the skin retain moisture by preventing transepidermal water loss and strengthening the skin barrier. It softens the skin, improves elasticity and has a luxurious, silky feel. It penetrates the skin easliy and is a great carrier for other the ingredients in our face oils.
Rosehip Oil can help keep skin soft, smooth and moisturised. It brightens and evens out the skin, helps with anti-aging, elasticity, collagen production and has been valued since ancient times for its many healing properties. For acne-prone skin, rosehip oil can be helpful because it has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Hemp Seed Oil provides moisture without clogging the pores. The linoleic acid and oleic acids found in Hemp Seed Oil can’t be produced by the body but can play a crucial role in skin health helping reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as prevent signs of aging from developing. Vitamin E oil has a plethora of benefits for the skin including moisturising properties, reducing inflammation and can be used as an overnight anti-aging treatment.
Lemon Essential Oil helps to refine the complexion, especially for oily skin types prone to large pores. It has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and astringent properties and, because of these, it can be used as an effective ingredient for oily & acne prone skin. Bergamot Essential Oil is a natural cleanser and is particularly good for oily skin, helping to unclog pores and balance sebum levels to get skin glowing.

How to Use
Apply 2-3 drops of Oily/Acne Prone Skin Face Oil gently all over the face and neck. Massage the face using a Jade Roller, which will not only help spread the oil evenly but also stimulates circulation, making your skin appear brighter and firmer. Use at least once a day, usually every evening so it has time to absorb overnight.
For maximum benefit prepare by cleansing with our Cleansing Balm followed by our Gel Cleanser. Once thoroughly cleansed use our Rose & Cucumber Toner and Serum with Niacinamide. Allow serum to dry for a few minutes before applying one of our moisturisers and Hydrating Eye Cream. Follow with Oily/Acne Prone Skin Face Oil and Jade Roller for your own mini-facial experience.
With long term use, Oily/Acne Prone Skin Face Oil can cause your skin to appear more toned and tightened whilst reducing excess oil production.
Before using Oily/Acne Prone Skin Face Oil on the skin, do a skin test for allergies. Apply a small amount of the product to the area inside the elbow and wait for 24 hours. If no reaction occurs, proceed with using the product.
